Just a quick reminder here of a couple of terms that are used throughout this website and what they mean and in everyday terms.
A franchise is a business opportunity – with benefits.
A franchisor is the person, company or entity that has given permission to another person, company or entity to use their name, trademarks and so on. The franchisor then offers training, support and expertise in their particular sector to those looking at joining the brand.
A franchisee is then the locally based person or company that uses all of the branding, trademarks etc. to sell the products or services that the brand offers to consumers. Franchisees will (generally) have made a financial investment to get involved in the business. And because they have put in money, they tend to be ‘invested’ into making the business a huge success, becoming renowned for offering great value, customer service and all of the other attributes needed to stand out from a crowd!
